“Yikes! So you’re saying she was for the wall before she was against it?”  President Donald J. Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., tweeted Wednesday.

He was referring to Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), one of the remaining Democratic candidates for president.

Trump Jr.’s tweet came after journalist Walker Bragman wrote:

“Here’s Amy Klobuchar in 2006 talking[,] taking a hardline stance on immigration, supporting a border fence[,] and even criticizing the [former President George] Bush administration for not cracking down on companies hiring illegal immigrants.

“‘We need to get order at the border.'”

Trump Jr. wrote in his tweet, “Do any of these Democrats (other than Bernie) have any real conviction or resolve?”

In the video, Klobuchar lays out the case for securing the border, including a “fence,” saying it’s “not right” for people to cross the border illegally.

She also championed “earned citizenship” for people who are willing to take certain steps, including learning English.
