NBC correspondent Andrea Mitchell falsely accused President Donald Trump’s campaign Friday of editing footage of Joe Biden’s comments on poor kids being “just as bright and just as talented as white kids.”

Mitchell appeared on NBC’s Today, where she claimed Trump’s rapid response director Andrew Clark posted a video of one of Biden’s Iowa campaign events that “notably did not include the full remarks,” Mediaite reported. However, Mitchell’s report, save for a short edit of its own, posted the exact same clip Clark did of Biden.

“Joe Biden, after a widely praised speech against the president 24 hours ago, is now facing a Trump campaign counter-attack, seizing on a few words on the campaign trail,” Mitchell said. “The former vice president accusing the President of being a racist who emboldens white supremacists by aligning himself with their cause, but it’s Biden’s bungling of his own remarks that’s making headlines this morning.”

The article goes on to state the following

Mitchell reported Trump’s team “quickly seizing on just the ‘white kids’ comment” and said Clark “notably did not include the full remarks” in the clip he shared in his tweet. However, Clark’s clip played through Biden’s full remarks and did not stop at him saying “white kids.”

Mediaite noted Mitchell was “wrong in this assertion.”

Mitchell covered for Biden during the same segment by saying his gaffe came “after a long day and night at the Iowa State Fair.” Clark also responded to Biden’s campaign accusing him of posting the video without Biden’s “immediate correction,” saying the clip did do so.

Mitchel is a Biden support and probably blows Biden like she blows at her job. I’m surprised she hasn’t drowned in the rain already with her nose up in the air when it come to normal working class people. These people think they are America’s elite ruling class when they have very low IQ’s. They would probably be on welfare if they had not had their parent influence, money and there connections to get into the schools they graduated from. Then they go talking about privilege as if they are not the poster child of it. Today privilege is no long just white, it’s anyone who has power money and fame. Athletes, business owners, politicians, media stars, actors and more all carry around their privilege cards to have them punched when needed. Let’s not let them get away with projecting this based on color alone. When you are a white middle class person who goes to work every day and they tag you with that label of “white privileged” it’s bull shit. Ok the local police pull you over, he knows you from the local High School football games where your son plays. In stead of giving you a ticket for speeding he let you off with a warning. Why, because he knows you are a good upstanding citizen of the community and that a warning will get the job done without taking money away from your family. No matter what your color if the same situation was to happen the same results should happen. It’s not really a privilege it’s a community courtesy.
