The U.S. government may have to take unilateral action if the Mexican government doesn’t act appropriately in response to the murder of American citizens in his country, according to Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark.

Cotton, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, told Neil Cavuto on Tuesday that Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador’s reaction does not necessarily inspire confidence that his nation will take swift action.

The article goes on to state the following:

“Neil, unfortunately, it’s plain that the Mexican government can’t handle this,” he said. “President Lopez Obrador came into office almost a year ago saying that his strategy for dealing with the cartels was going to be more hugs, not bullets. That may work in a children’s fairy tale, but in the real world when three American women and six American children were gunned down and burned alive the only thing that can counteract bullets is more and bigger bullets. If the Mexican government cannot protect American citizens in Mexico, then the United States may have to take matters into our own hands.”

It’s time for the corruption in this government to stop, yes Americans will take matters into their own hands because absolutely nothing has been done to stop these illegals from invading the country.
Send everyone of them back and close the Borders, The President of Mexico isn’t going to do a Bloody thing, he is as corrupt as the rest of them.
Americans have had enough of citizens being murdered and children raped, Billions of our tax Dollars going to illegals that are treated better than citizens,Drugs killing thousands of people all because of corruption and money.
Stop the invasion NOW BEFORE ITS TOO LATE.

Mexico is a failed state owned by criminals. Any person traveling there or residing there is putting their and their loved ones lives at risk. Mexico and much of Central /South America should be on travel bans. Cartels, communist terrorists and everyday thugs operate across the area. Kidnapping of American and European citizens for ransom occurs quite frequently.
There are areas across the world that are unsafe for natives, transplants and travelers. Americans have to wake up to the fact that they cannot be protected where ever they go. In my opinion it is a bit arrogant to think we should be. American residents in Chicago, Baltimore and other high crime areas cannot be assured of their safety, isn’t it a bit ridiculous to think you will be in a foreign country?
Should the US declare war on the cartels? How would that work? Invading a foreign country with troops, aerial strikes across the border in foreign air space? CIA hit squads working in the shadows? Would the Mexican government just sit back and let us do that? I don’t think so. And what about collateral damage from air strikes? A nightmare if entire innocent families were killed.
Would the cartel leadership just sit back in their compounds waiting to be attacked or bombed? That too is more likely a no. They would use the nationalism of the Mexican citizen to ferment an opposition to Americans. They would arm them. Vietnam and Afghanistan.
And what about all the Mexicans living here in the US who have allegiance to Mexico? Would they sit back and not react? We have what could be turned into a very large Mexican terrorist organization living here.

The killings in Mexico were horrific. But do those killings or the drug trade that more then likely caused them, justify US intervention? I do not think any action on Mexican soil by US military or other assets would be the answer.

Mexico needs to be forced by economic measures to eliminate the cartels. The border should be closed. No trade or traffic. US military on the border and all people trying to cross turned back. Armed drug runners shot. US Navy/Air Force assets added to Coast Guard to protect coastal boundaries. Custom agents re- enforced. All remittances to Mexico taxed heavily or halted permanently. No foreign aid. Military also put into positions across N border.
The cartels could be destroyed by Mexican authorities. All it takes is the will on our side to pressure them and to do what is necessary. Sadly we lack that will and the financial interests in both countries will never allow it.

I am for your plans 100%. It makes perfect sense so you may as well forget our government implementing any of it. Just like actions that President Trump wants to put into effect they are shot down by Obama era federal judges who don’t give a damn about the American people because they hate Trump.
