President Trump announced Monday afternoon that he will be awarding golf pro Tiger Woods with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, following his victory on Sunday at the Masters Tournament.

The president is long-time friends with Woods, and occasionally golfs with him. He tweeted:

Spoke to @TigerWoods to congratulate him on the great victory he had in yesterday’s @TheMasters, & to inform him that because of his incredible Success & Comeback in Sports (Golf) and, more importantly, LIFE, I will be presenting him with the PRESIDENTIAL MEDAL OF FREEDOM!

President Trump then remarked on the devastating fire at the majestic Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, which has become engulfed in flames. The fire is reportedly thought to have been linked to ongoing renovation work.  The building was built in the 12th and 13th centuries, and is one of Paris’s most famous landmarks, drawing about 13 million visitors per year.

The fire is so massive that news outlets have reported it doesn’t appear firefighters are even able to put water on it, and seem helpless to put it out.

Trump tweeted:

So horrible to watch the massive fire at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. Perhaps flying water tankers could be used to put it out. Must act quickly!

Below is a video of the moment the spire on the cathedral collapsed.
