Immigration is for the benefit of America, not for the benefit of foreigners seeking to migrate into the United States, says the acting director of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

“I’ll drive it home with a sledgehammer here: America’s immigration system is first and foremost, for the benefit of America. Period,” USCIS acting director Ken Cuccinelli told Breitbart News.

The article goes on to state the following:

The purpose of immigration policy was raised during a White House press conference on Monday when Cuccinelli unveiled the new “Public Charge” regulation which will help deny green cards to foreign people who are likely to need welfare and aid from taxpaying Americans.

Cuccinelli’s statement came after a CBS reporter asked about the words at the base of the Statue of Liberty: “Give us your tired, your poor.”

It was given to us by France to show friendship. Yes it is near Ellis Island, where immigrates went in order to be screened to come to the US, but does not really have anything to do with immigration. Once again this liberals know nothing about our history

Those were different times. Those people came legally and never once asked for anything free. They worked hard and sacrificed. They didn’t go around killing Americans or trying to milk the system. Those were different times and a people who wanted to contribute to America, not take, take, take.

That damned statue was originally commissioned by the King of Egypt to sit at the head of the Suez canal. King went broke, so self centered artist glommed onto cronies in French gov’t to build the thing anyway. French people objected to taxes for build, so the artist raised the funds by displaying its progress as a side show, paid for by circus admissions. Tried same stunt of selling idea to Americans; they were not interested. Even as artist raised money via circus side show in France, the base had to be constructed in the US, and paid for in the US. NYC news publisher Pulitzer seized opportunity to increase sales and revenue by posing the lack of interest in spending tax dollars as a class warfare, the greedy rich denying art to the poor. They resorted to the same side show tactics in the US, sending completed sections to the US for display. Funds to build the base were still short when the monstrosity was completed and ready to ship. The rest of the money for the base was raised thru a poetry contest by the same newspaper. A 16 year old Jewess fresh off the boat from Russia won the contest with the words now scrawled on the base. No one can explain why a poem written by a juvenile alien in the throes of hormonal upheaval should establish permanent immigration policy. That damned statue was a fraud from the git go. The poet, the David Hogg of the era, with the equivalent of CNN providing the entertainment for profit. Just tow that damned statue to the deepest part of the Atlantic and sink it.
