Former secretary of state Rex Tillerson denied Monday that he sought to undermine or work against President Trump, as former U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley claims in a new memoir of her time in the administration.

“During my service to our country as the Secretary of State, at no time did I, nor to my direct knowledge did anyone else serving along with me, take any actions to undermine the President,” Tillerson said in a statement to The Washington Post.

The article goes on to state the following:

“My conversations with the President in the privacy of the Oval Office were always candid, frank, and my recommendations straightforward. Once the President made a decision, we at the State Department undertook our best efforts to implement that decision,” Tillerson said. “Ambassador Haley was rarely a participant in my many meetings and is not in a position to know what I may or may not have said to the President. I continue to be proud of my service as our country’s 69th Secretary of State.”

Haley wrote in her new book, “With All Due Respect,” that Tillerson and former WHite House chief of staff John F. Kelly encouraged her to work with them to counter what they felt were reckless policies by Trump.

“Kelly and Tillerson confided in me that when they resisted the president, they weren’t being insubordinate, they were trying to save the country,” Haley wrote in the book. “It was their decisions, not the president’s, that were in the best interests of America, they said. The president didn’t know what he was doing.”

I believe Haley. However they rationalized their action in their own minds who knows but I don’t think she made this up.
People tend to remember things the way they want to and the way their brain filed it away. Trump has departed from standard Presidential actions as taken by all of the former 4 Presidents. It would be easy to fall into the trap of believing these actions were too much of a break especially when ordered by a political amateur. Especially if you are bombarded by a continuous flow of biased reporting from the MSM.
I too felt his constant tweets were a mistake but if you consider the complete picture -regular American citizens know that he is talking directly to them with no middle massaging by a bunch of political cronies like you got from Hillary and Barack.
Even the typos show you this is him giving it to you straight as he sees it.
I think that is why so many people go to his rallies. They know it won’t be a canned spin of a bunch of baloney like you get from politicians- you will get his honest take-right or wrong- on the latest news.

Now, who’s telling the Truth? Remember, Tillerson and Kelly we’re both fired by the President! I believed that something had reached to the President! I think Ambassador Haley was right!

I believe they got caught and that’s why they were both fired and now the truth comes out so the American people can see why.

I’m glad all of them are gone. How dare she condemn the Confederate flag!
