Rapper Cardi B said on Twitter that she is considering entering the political arena.

“I think I want to be a politician. I really love government even tho I don’t agree with government,” the rapper, born Belcalis Almánzar, wrote in the first of a series of tweets about the idea on Sunday. “Like I was watching war documentaries. No matter how many weapons a country [has] you need people! How are you trying to go against a country and possibly start a war when this country lacks patriotism? I barely see people claiming they LOVE being American.”

The article goes on to state the following:

Her comments on war arrive as tensions between the U.S. and Iran continue to boil afterPresident Trump order a drone strike that killed a top Iranian general earlier this month, and Tehran retaliated with missile strikes on a base in Iraq housing U.S. troops. Trump has said the operation was an effort to “stop” a war, saying there is evidence the general, Qasem Soleimani, was targeting four embassies.

In another tweet on Sunday, Cardi B said that she will readdress the matter, possibly with a video explaining her intentions, on another day: “I will have to explain a lot so I will have to do a video or a live talking about it …So Imma come back to my last two tweets another day. Imma talk about it another day.”
