Advocates on behalf of a 20-year-old Guatemalan woman who was shot and killed by a U.S. Border Patrol agent last year want $100 million in damages, The Associated Press reports.

The legal claim on behalf of Claudia Patricia Gómez González, filed by the American Civil Liberties Union of Texas, comes almost exactly one year after her death. The claim serves as a precursor to a lawsuit.

The article goes on to state the following:

Gómez González, an undocumented immigrant, crossed the U.S.-Mexico border in Texas as part of a group of migrants. They were then confronted by a Border Patrol agent.

In a statement after her death, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) said the agent fired his gun after he “came under attack by multiple subjects using blunt objects.”

Opwhen this ACLU first came about I thought they were for the good of the people. As the years have gone by,not so much. I don’t believe we should start paying intruders if they get hurt or die. They were warned not to come here and yet they violently attack our law enforcement and force themselves in.

So now we reward the family of those who died committing a crime? Give me a break. I hope you get ZERO!

      I agree Anita.

So in other words, BP cannot protect themselves at any cost. How many BP agents have been killed by illegals and nothing is done. Maybe start sueing the country for their family for their loss.

Self defense isn’t against the law when you are being violently attacked by INVADERS. If she had stayed in her country instead of trying to invade ours she would not have died. Stupid is as stupid does. Lawsuit is frivious.

Acoustic is a big joke. They were never set up for this stuff. They need to be retrained what their job is for AMERICAN CITIZENS! That woman knowingly committed a crime and the Border Patrol was doing their job . ACLU GO TO HELL YOUR NOT WORTH ANYTHING. Traitors to the American Citizens.
