Last week, Fox News condemned remarks made by Judge Jeanine Pirro after the host on air questioned whether Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) is loyal to Sharia because she wears a hijab. Pirro speculated the significance behind a hijab must also conflict with the ideals of the Constitution.

Pirro’s aggressive approach on the subject stemmed from Omar’s recent controversial comments about Israel, that have been deemed anti-Semitic in context. While Democrats have condemned the remarks made by Omar, more radical left-leaning representatives like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) have advocated on Omar’s behalf in the conflict.

Fox News has been supportive of host Tucker Carlson since his targeting by Media Matters over past controversial comments, but the network decided to pull broadcasting of Pirro’s show Saturday night in favor of a documentary rerun. It is is unknown if the network plans to air Pirro on her next allotted slot this coming Saturday.

Officials from Fox News have stayed silent on the secret suspension of Pirro, but the action has warranted the attention of President Donald Trump, who tweeted the following on the issue:

Considering Trump’s response and the protection over Carlson, do you think Fox News is wrong for suspending Pirro in this manner?
