Longtime liberal Fox News host Shepard Smith suddenly announced last Friday that he was departing the network after 23 years, to “begin a new chapter” in his life.

Five days later, former Fox host Megyn Kelly made her first appearance on the network in three years, as a guest on the Tucker Carlson show.

The interview marked Kelly’s first TV appearance in almost one year, after she was booted from NBC News over her remarks about blackface, which some considered controversial.

Kelly’s popularity has not waned, the interview proved, as the Tucker Carlson show resulted in over 4 million viewers and was the most-watched program on cable, beating out Sean Hannity with 3.65 million viewers and MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow with 3.44 million viewers.

A permanent replacement for Shepard Smith has not yet been named.

She’s still an anti-Trumper and will put a negative spin on her newscasts just like Shep did so I voted NO!!! There’s enough negativity being spewed about our President already! Trump supporters need a place to go for positive news reports on our great president!! No to Kelly!! 👎

I voted no because she would constantly have to “walk on egg shells “. People would start to complain if she said the slightest bad thing about Trump. We don’t need that right now and neither does she.

I will never forgive Kelly for her sham interview with pedophile James Alefantis. I suspect she’s part of his witches coven and is responsible for children’s deaths as much as he is.

She showed her true colors, and I don’t trust her. She was loved by Fox viewers until the underhanded way she tried to bushwhack Trump at the debates! Snake in the grass!

I never thought near as much of her as she did of herself…she seemed very impressed with what she saw in the mirror – me, not so much…so like you, we had stopped watching her long before she left. NO to coming back. But then Paul Ryan is probably beyond YES on bringing her back. Dam Demonrat in Republican clothing.

There is enough anti-Trump on all the other channels plus some on Fox.
Just tell the news and let the audience figure it out for themselves.

What I want in a news person and moreover a news STATION are the facts. Like Walter Cronkite…the last great news anchor … keep your opinions to yourself. We dont need someone to tell us how to think. Show both sides to an issue. Leave the editorializing to your entertainment shows where the issues can be debated.
