On Monday, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo got into a heated, profanity-laced argument after an individual referred to him as “Fredo,” a fictional character from “The Godfather.” The incident was caught on camera.

“Punk a– b—-es from the right call me Fredo,” Cuomo says to a man standing beside him. “My name is Chris Cuomo. I’m an anchor on CNN. Fredo is from ‘The Godfather.’ He was a weak brother and they use it as an Italian aspersion.”

Cuomo, who’s Italian, said term “Fredo” is a racist slur and compared it to calling an African American the N-word.

CNN defended Cuomo, as did Fox News host Sean Hannity.

“I say good for @ChrisCuomo,” Hannity wrote in a Monday tweet. “He’s out with his 9 year old daughter,  and his wife, and this guy is being a jackass in front of his family. Imho Chris Cuomo has zero to apologize for. He deserves the apology.”

Many have criticized Cuomo for the rant, suggesting he should have taken the high road or used better language. President Donald J. Trump mocked Cuomo on Tuesday.

“I thought Chris was Fredo also,” Trump tweeted. “The truth hurts. Totally lost it! Low ratings @CNN.”

Trump later described Cuomo’s behavior as, “lunatic ranting, raving, & cursing” and criticized Republicans who defend badly behaving Democrats. “We never learn!” he wrote.

Comparing himself to a character in a movie…hello come back to reality. don’t particular care about asshats from MSM…Trump should have ignored them why give them any attention…now his tweet on China is right on…our farmers are hurting which may lend the democrats to win WI…my families from there the corn looks to be a bumper crop this year the same for soybeans…but with China not buying…they’re hurting.

The way Cuomo should have handled it was to so introduce himself as Chris Cuomo. That corrects the issue and makes the person look little for not using his correct name. Now what he did opens himself up to President Trumps ridicule as he made himself look like a big ass which I’m sure he is in person.
I’m not sure on this embargo whether we are head down the right road with this back and forth, off and on with tariffs. China is in a bind right now and their President May need this life line Trump is throwing him. My opinion on most things is you plot a course and stick to it. I do true the President when it comes to negotiating a good trade deal. We do need to help our American Farmers during this time. Remember what’s at stake here, our future economy and our country’s long term security.

I can’t even believe that any Republican conservative would remotely side with Cuomo. The left beats us down at every opportunity. Wake up people

What Cuomo said not once but twice was far worse ( and in front of his 9 yr. old daughter) than what that man said. Read Cuomo even referred to himself as Fredo before. I doubt his daughter even knew what Fredo meant, but she know’s what her daddy meant! He’s nuts!

Cuomo should be fired! If that was a conservative “news actor” speaking to someone in public using profanity & threats to throw him down stairs, there would be an UPROAR! Sounds like Fredo, I mean Coumo NEEDS SOME SERIOUS ANGER MANAGEMENT! Using that kind of language & THREATS in front of his young daughter! SMH

As with most incidents there’s more to the story. Heard yesterday the guy listens to Rush Limbaugh who has regularly called Cuomo “Fredo” over the last couple years and admittedly believed that was his name. But also wasn’t heckling Cuomo but merely called out asking for a photo. The guy says several times in the video he truly believed that his name was “Fredo” & was very civil even though Cuomo got in his face. Even when the guy apologizes Cuomo carries on calling out the guy a “f-ing lying punk ass bitch” and then verbally threatened him. The guy tries to defuse the situation saying “I’m sorry, I don’t want no trouble” & Cuomo kept it going and again threatens to throw him down the stairs. Plus he had his friends jump into the mix as HE kept pushing the interaction. Cuomo was the one with the obvious problem. Remember how those on the Left who verbally attack Candace Owens & Charlie Kirk at a restaurant forcing them to leave & then surrounded them outside while others threw water at them calling Candace (who’s black)a racist. The Left stoke the fires & do not apologize or back down but threaten & get even more belligerent. Also, if Cuomo was there with his family (& young daughter) why the foul mouthed attack when the guy never raised his voice or said anything derogatory except to call him “ Fredo”. But then to say calling someone “Fredo” is a derogatory racial slur comparing it to the N-word is beyond ludicrous. He used that to say “look at me I’m the victim here”.
No you’re not Chris & you just proved what an out of control loser you are.

I doubt that the name Fredo is a slur agaainst Italians, though I am not Italian. Cuomo seriously over reacted, especially if he was concerned about his family. I am concerned about Cuomo taking his wife and 9 year old daughter into a Bar, it is not a place for a child.
Cuomo was out of control and the language that he used in front of his daughter was much worse than the name Fredo.
