Firefighters are battling a massive blaze which broke out at the world-famous Notre Dame cathedral in Paris this evening.

Pictures posted on social media showed enormous plumes of smoke billowing into the city’s skyline and flames engulfing large sections of the historic building.

The article goes on to state the following:

According to French newspaper Le Monde, the fire broke out in the attic of the monument before spreading across the roof.

A spokesperson for the cathedral said the blaze was first reported at 5.50pm (GMT) and the building was evacuated soon after.

Officials in Paris said the fire could be linked to restoration works as the peak of the church is currently undergoing a 6 million-euro ($6.8 million) renovation project.

I seriously doubt it’s linked to the restoration, it was an opportunity definitely. “ those “ people hate a Cathedral as they do Catholics and any other religion, they have a history of destroying religions icons of other people’s religions so… and look what they’ve done there and to other parts of Europe. If I’m wrong I’ll say something later.

So heartbreaking, this is Holy Week I hope and pray that this isn’t what we are all thinking.
I and my 2 daughters celebrated Mass there a few years ago, the Cathedral has gone through 2 World Wars and now this.
The top has already fallen and that has been there since the 1400 hundreds, so many Churches in Europe have been defaced and statues that have been around for Centuries by the evil invaders.
In England where I grew up this evil has taken over beautiful Churches and turned them into their evil Mosques where they preach their hateful ideology against the West.
The Cathedral is well known throughout the World and this to me is so very sad.
