Update 5:22 p.m.: The House cleared a $4.6 billion emergency aid package to address the humanitarian crisis at the border, sending the bill to President Donald Trump for his signature.

The overwhelming vote in favor of the bill comes after Speaker Nancy Pelosi fought Republicans and members of her own caucus to push for additional language to protect migrant children before conceding to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

The House passed the bill in a 305-102 vote. The article goes on to state the following:

Speaker Nancy Pelosi formally bowed to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in a weeks-long battle with the GOP over the border aid bill, saying the House will take up the Senate’s version of the relief package.

The move caps four days of havoc amid a contentious debate within Pelosi’s caucus over how to respond to the mounting humanitarian crisis.

Are you serious, they are labeling it as a humanitarian crisis. Unbelievable! Now I suppose they will spin it as Trump’s fault that there is a humanitarian crisis. I just don’t understand how people can be so blind.
