WEST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) — The FDNY confirms a helicopter went down in the Hudson River Wednesday.

It happened in the vicinity of West 30th Street and the West Side Highway.

The pilot was reportedly able to land on the river and exited the helicopter.

According to the NYC Fire Department, the pilot was the only person onboard, and is OK.
