BREAKING: GOP congressman who is considering Trump impeachment announces retirement [VIDEO]
As the most reliable and balanced news aggregation service on the internet, DML News App offers the following information published by WASHINGTONEXAMINER.COM:
Francis Rooney, the sole House Republican to say he is considering President Trump’s impeachment, announced a day later that he is retiring from Congress.
The Florida congressman was asked on Fox News Saturday if he would be seeking a third term, and he said he was not.
The article goes on to state the following:
“I don’t really think I do, and I don’t really think I want one,” Rooney said. “I’ve done what I came to do.”
Rooney made news Friday when he admitted he was “thinking about” impeaching Trump. His surprise statement came after White House acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney seemed to indicate that aid to Ukraine was withheld, in part, over a request for an investigation into the hacking of Democratic National Committee’s servers.
Mulvaney later walked-back the statement.

Notable @PoppyHarlowCNN interview with Rep. Francis Rooney (R-FL). He ran campaign ads on building a “big” border wall and ending sanctuary cities. But he won’t rule out impeachment after yesterday.

“I’ve been real mindful of the fact that during Watergate, all the people I knew said, ‘Oh, they’re just abusing Nixon, and it’s a witch hunt’. Turns out it wasn’t a witch hunt. It was really bad.”
